The Holi Festival take place in India, Nepal and several other countries during the early spring celebrations. In this Hindu festival, also known as Festival of Colors, Spring is received with music, colors and much joy, as a way to symbolize the victory of the Good (Spring) against Evil (Winter). During the celebration of the Holi the participants paint themselves and throw colourful powders in the air, called Gulal. After this celebration took place in the streets of Zambujeira do Mar, the participants had a lunch together and had the opportunity to listen traditional musics and dance.
With this festival the migrant community had the opportunity to show to the locals their tradition and it was very appreciate and participate.
